Vape Puff Counts Explained: How Long Does a 15K, 40K or 50K Vape Last?
Disposable vapes in Dubai are sold by their puff count: 15,000, 40,000, 50,000 puffs and more. But what does that number really mean, and how long will a vape last you? This guide explains puff ratings, why power modes change them, what they cost per band and how to pick the right size, using the range and prices at Vape Marina.
What a puff count means
A puff count is the manufacturer’s estimate of how many puffs a device gives before the e-liquid runs out. It is usually based on short, regular puffs, so it is a best-case number. Longer or harder draws use more e-liquid per puff, and you will get fewer puffs in total. Treat the rating as a way to compare devices in the same range, not as an exact promise.
Power modes change the rating
Many new disposables have a normal mode and a stronger mode. The headline puff count is always for the normal mode. The stronger mode heats the coil more, so it uses e-liquid faster:

If you mostly vape in Boost, Pulse, Surge or Turbo mode, expect roughly half to two-thirds of the headline number.
Why e-liquid size doesn’t tell the whole story
You might expect puffs to follow e-liquid capacity, but brands rate their devices differently:
- The Geek Bar PCE holds 30ml and is rated at 40,000 puffs.
- The MASKKING Ultra also holds 30ml but is rated at 50,000 puffs.
- The ELFBAR Trio holds 20ml and is rated at 40,000 puffs.
- The Lost Mary MT35000 holds 18ml and is rated at 35,000 puffs.
So two “40,000-puff” vapes can last quite differently. When a brand publishes the e-liquid size, it is a useful second check alongside the puff rating.
How long does a vape last?
Divide the puff rating by the puffs you take in a day. As a simple example, at 300 puffs a day a 15,000-puff vape lasts up to about 50 days and a 40,000-puff vape up to about 130 days. In practice it will be less, especially if you use a stronger mode or take long draws. Because most high-puff disposables are rechargeable, keep them charged so you can use all of the e-liquid.

Which puff count should you choose?
- Under 10,000 puffs: small and light, good for trying a flavour or a night out, such as the ELFBAR BC5000 (AED 34).

Are puff counts accurate?
They are manufacturer estimates based on short, regular puffs. Real use usually gives fewer puffs, especially with long draws or a stronger power mode.
How long does a 15,000-puff vape last?
At 300 puffs a day, up to about 50 days. Heavier use or Boost mode shortens that.
Why does Boost or Pulse mode reduce the puff count?
The stronger mode heats the coil more, so each puff uses more e-liquid. The Geek Bar PCE, for example, is rated at 40,000 puffs in Regular mode and 20,000 in Pulse mode.
Is a higher puff count better value?
